hai... Welcom 2 the art log. this is a collection of all the art i made from february-april
will only be explaining these sections once so you better listen!
- New Additions: I wanted a way of "posting" new art onto my site without recreating the social media insanity loop, so every quarter I'll upload whatever I've made the previous three months.
- Revisits: I don't want my art to suffer from being overexplained... but I still like talking about what I made, especially if I think I had a good idea, so here I'll look back on old pieces and commentate on them.
- Bingo: For 2025 I made an art bingo to challenge myself to draw things I normally wouldn't. Progress on that will be updated there!

what would a blag post on ranmpy be if it didn't include some reference to music
but yep, this is based on kendrick lamar's N95. specifically, these frames
i wasn't able to get good screenshots of the in-between frames but what happens is that kendrick flinches when the bottle comes down. the whole point of a music video is to be cinematic and cool but there's something about this. it's just so, for lack of a better word, real? beautiful in a way? poetic?? i am sincerely hoping that this doesn't come off as strange
the lyrics of N95 also fit the story of american psycho well, as a better part of it is commentary on materialism

wow it's the fake visual novel screenshots i made for american psycho. uhh, i mean real* screenshots that i took* from the REAL american psycho visual novel
i'm pretty fond of this. it's an idea that had to wait around 2? 3? years before i ever acted on it. what's funny is that the inspiration and starting point for this didn't even make the final cut: this is based on the poem game mechanic from doki doki literature club. lol....... 
i'll spare you the details on the why/what/how/why and just show it
it's a joke in poor taste that i didn't think was funny after those 2/3 years, so maybe i was right to wait on it (the censor was always going to be included, though, if you were wondering)
this was also inspired by overloaded video game UIs, although you can't really tell;
i should have gone harder on the fake UI and made it clunkier and unparsable. it better fits the patrick bateman/american psycho experience. maybe next time... :3 (ominous) (it will take me another 3 years to make a part 2)

you can tell that this was made while i was still on social media. whoops (and 'my magnum opus'?? wtf?). i'm taking that as another free space. here's what i've stamped out so far
