mushroom hunter is a roblox game currently in its beta phase. it was (supposedly) created on november 10, 2021 and its latest update was on march 11, 2024. last checked march 11, 2024

the game's description reads as:
Mushroom Hunter is a RPG simulator type game.
Gather mushrooms, upgrade your tools or level up, and become the best Mushroom Hunter!

gameplay centers around defeating and gathering mushrooms. you use a multitude of tools to help you fight. in combat, a red target circles around the mushroom. the goal is to stand in the target before your next attack. if you do so successfully, you rack up a combo that lets you deal more damage, the higher it gets

npcs

there are multiple npcs you can find in the base camp:

trainer: lets you spend your highest combo to level up your fist exp gain. offers some hats for exp bonus
mushroom hunter: gives you quests that reward you with exp, gold, and a treasure chest
blacksmith: sells and upgrades tools
mushroom trader: sells baskets and allows you to sell your mushrooms
misko: kind of just walks around and gives you tips if you talk to him

mushrooms

regular mushroom health is determined by size. if a mushroom is sparkling, it's at full health. the larger the mushroom, the more it drops once you defeat it (i think)

if you do less damage than a mushroom's shield, all damage will be negated

tools

you begin with your fists, but can buy and craft more tools. to see their stats, you can hover over the tool or open your inventory.

in the inventory, we see these stats

damage: weapon's base damage
attack speed: weapon attack speed in seconds
minimum fist damage: fist damage required to use the tool without any debuffs

potion of might: negates any debuffs from lacking fist power (5 minutes)

combos

combos are a bitch and personally i'm still stuck on my highest being in the 60s. the device i play on is really slow so That's My Excuse.

some tips:

combos don't break until you attack outside of the target
you can initiate combat out of attacking range to reach the target before your first attack
you can move outside of attacking range in case the target is too far (if the environment allows it. lol)

yeah another game with rebirths. yeaaaah kind of an L but whatever
